PostgreSQLインストール時エラー

CentOSにPostgreSQLをインストールしようと思いソースファイルからインストール時に./configureを実行したらエラーが発生。
そこで、いろいろ調べたところreadline-develが必要らしいということが判明。早速
めでたし。めでたし。
# ./configure --with-openssl --with-perlどうも、readlineのライブラリがないとのこと。しかし、

configure: error: readline library not found
If you have readline already installed, see config.log
for details on the failure. It is possible the compiler
isn't looking in the proper directory.
Use --without-readline to disable readline support.
# yum installed readlineを行うと、｢あるよ！｣と言われてしまいました。
そこで、いろいろ調べたところreadline-develが必要らしいということが判明。早速
# yum -y installed readline-develを実行したら./configureができました。
めでたし。めでたし。
